Corporate Social Responsibility is not corporate lingo, or some communication gimmick for us here at BDSwiss. It’s a core part of the company, our vision and goals. Giving back to the community in numerous ways is how we make the world a better place. To end the year strong, we participated and promoted a number of charitable events and initiatives. Here’s a brief overview.
Between 1 Dec-16 Dec we collected used (we prefer “pre-loved”!) clothing, shoes, toys and books at our Limassol and Nicosia offices to donate to the Cyprus Association of Cancer Patients and Friends (PASYKAF). This is an annual campaign organised by Sunfresh Bakeries and Radio station Kanali 6 for the Gift Collection for Children that Santa Claus Forgot. The funds raised will buy clothes and toys for those children.
In a similar vein, we held an office-wide voluntary donation round for the Pancyprian Volunteerism Coordinative Council (PVCC). Another initiative worth mentioning is the One Dream, One Wish Foundation Christmas Charity Raffle.
Last but not least, we are closing out the year by participating in the 365 SGC Run Walk event with up to 40 employers participating and all proceeds raised will be used to renovate Limassol General Hospital’s Pediatric Playroom.
